Demographic and psychosocial variables that modulate the risk of suicide in adolescents

Abstract
We present various conceptual issues about teen suicide, and raise the risk and protective factors that are associated with suicidal behavior. It provides an insight into the demographic and psychosocial variables to consider for risk assessment or suicide attempt in adolescents. In addition, develop guidelines for the promotion of the aspects that have been proven effective in the fight against suicide attempt and completed suicide in adolescents and young adults, with interpersonal relationships, factors to be taken into account for a thorough analysis, in the quality of life and emotional well-being in this group. It is concluded on those demographic and psychosocial variables are contemplated interest for the prevention of suicide attempt, and there are various limitations of this study can be seen as future prospects for researchers and clinicians interested in teen suicide.
