Abstract

Population ageing has been associated with an exponential increase in the prevalence of dementia, and, in the absence of a cure for these pathologies, the possibility of taking action at the level of prevention, supported by several investigations, has generated great interest. In Argentina we developed, with a specialized interdisciplinary team, the proposal for a “brain gym” for the prevention and treatment of dementia. The intervention model includes different proposals for physical, cognitive, social, nutritional, and emotional regulation activities, based on scientific evidence, with a personalized patient journey based on the comprehensive person-centered care model.
