Abstract

The aim of the work is to analyze the use of technology, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, of educational institutions during 2018-2021. Data used correspond to PISA 2018 for 52 countries: a) student questionnaires with 1,118 variables and 612,004 observations, and b) school’s survey, with 197 variables and 21,903 observations. Statistical analysis was performed using thecorrelation matrixand the hierarchical cluster analysis technique. The results show the classification of the 52 countries in five clusters with the characteristics of the use of technology in four axes: infrastructure, communication, teacher training and student autonomy.
