TREATMENT OF TEMPERAMENTAL, MOTIVATIONAL AND SOCIO-COGNITIVE-ATTITUDINAL FACTORS FOR INTEGRATIVE MENTAL HEALTH IN THE ADOLESCENT-YOUNG POPULATION. SYSTEMATIC REVIEW
Main Article Content
Abstract
Generally, the great diversity of psychological treatments that can influence a person’s personality, mood, motivation and cognitive functions has been extensively studied. In recent years, evidence has emerged on the emergence of new psychological treatments and their subsequent modifications and adaptations to be applied to adolescents or young people to ascertain their effectiveness in this age range of the population. The aim of this research was to carry out a systematic review of studies registered in the Web of Science (WOS) and Pubmed databases on new psychological treatments applied to adolescents aimed at favoring temperamental, motivational and attitudinal socio-cognitive factors. The review included 195 scientific articles, using PRISMA methodology to analyze the information obtained. The results showed an emerging increase in publications on new treatments for adolescents in recent years, with the year 2021 being the year with the highest number of papers in the selected sample. In addition, the most commonly used treatments were those aimed at alleviating temperamental factors.
Despite these advances, bibliometric analysis on the subject under study is scarce, so for future studies and research it is recommended to verify the effectiveness of new psychological treatments and their adaptations in adolescents for later use.
