Analysis of the management and implementation of mediation in the school scope

Abstract
The work presented offers the analysis of the implementation and management of school mediation in the Canary Islands by 124 teachers accredited in school mediation and / or in the process of obtaining such accreditation.
Through a questionnaire of open questions about the perception about the implementation of mediation in schools, the perception that participants have of the needs for the effective achievement of the culture of peace in the centers is analyzed. as the process of implementation and management form of the implementation of school mediation in different educational centers. In addition, an analysis is made of the facilitating elements or that hinder the start-up and describe the proposed actions that suggest, as a way to manage the conflict and school mediation effectively.
The results indicate, among other aspects, the important benefits of school mediation for the coexistence of the center, the need for the involvement of the entire educational community for mediation to be effective, the importance of conducting a good diagnosis of the center as an essential requirement of an adequate contextualization and that for an effective start-up requires professionals trained in school mediation.
