Perceived supports and desires in the adolescent: factors that influence on happiness during pregnancy

Abstract

This article presents a scientific study on the level of happiness with pregnancy that shows a Spanish sample of 27 pregnant women between 15 and 24 years old. Its purpose is, on the one hand, to verify whether this satisfaction with pregnancy is possible despite not being planned in any case and secondly, to question the influence that certain factors can exert on it. Likewise, a brief review of the existing scientific literature on the subject is previously introduced. In this sense, the theoretical framework reflects the multidimensional and complex nature of happiness and the degree of inconsistency existing between the investigations that seek an approach to this reality. Finally, the article ends with a presentation of conclusions regarding the role of age and support in the gestational process. Thanks to the study, we can question the immediate, direct and unique influence of these variables, focusing our attention on others such as the wishes and motivations of the pregnant women.
