Abstract

This communication presents the results obtained in the study developed to optimize the participation of the Extremadura social volunteer. Knowing the profile of these volunteers from Extremadura in 2013 can enhance the effectiveness of actions aimed at promoting them. On the other hand, identifying the factors that improve the integration and satisfaction of the volunteers favors, without a doubt, the design of new organizational strategies that optimize the work that volunteers develop in the NGOs and associations with which they collaborate. We believe that these contributions will allow the volunteers themselves and their associative movement to consolidate their collective identity, deepening their own perceptions and those of other volunteers as part of a new culture of solidarity based on citizen participation, transformation and social commitment.
