Remy: example of motivation of achievement and entrepreneurship

Abstract

The aim of this work was to evaluate the entrepreneurial potential of Remy, protagonist of the Ratatouille movie, in the psychological variable: achievement motivation. It was used a Single-Case Design, in which 12 students of the degree in Labor Relations and Human Resources of the University of León, assess Remy with the Test of Achievement Motivation to Entrepreneurs. This test has 20 items; it was built to evaluate characteristics of entrepreneur’s people, according to David McClelland’s experimental studies. The results show that Remy has a high achievement motivation, that drives him to consider challenging goals, where the effort, 2training, and a job well done has as reward the professional success. Other results were: the measurement instrument has sufficient statistical properties to evaluate achievement motivation in adults’ people.
