Abstract
Acceptance of the positive aspects of music, have led to use it for the treatment of people with some disorder or disease. The musical elements may be suitable for therapeutic purposes because they can reduce the unpleasant sensations produced by some sounds, influence the heart rate, improve movement and body coordination. On the other hand, they influence temperature and perception, favoring productivity (Campbell, 1998). The qualities of music provide children with autistic disorder with contact with emotions, helping them to express and relate. In this way, the use of a melodic musical instrument favors its verbal expression and communication. In musical activities in children with autistic disorder, songs of simple melody and a repetitive text are used. Music through wind instruments helps autistic children to vocalize (Thayer, 1967; Alvin, 1975). On the other hand, the existence of outstanding skills of some autistic people towards music has been emphasized. Thus, some people with autistic disorder have an absolute tone, an ability to reproduce complex chords, to play melodies they had never heard and transport them to different keys (Sack, 2009)
