Análise de perfis de personalidade em atletas de futebol

Pretendeu-se determinar o Perfil de Personalidade baseado no Modelo dos Cinco Factores de Costa e McCrae (1987). A amostra foi constituída por 170 atletas, do género masculino da modalidade de futebol cuja média de idade se situou nos 18,50 anos, com um mínimo de 13 e um máximo de 33 anos. Utilizou-se a medidas de auto-relato Ten Item Personality Inventory (TIPI), versão Portuguesa (Brito-Costa, Moisão, Almeida, y Castro, 2015). A análise estatística foi efectuada através do Software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) versão 19 para Windows. Verificaram-se diferenças estatisticamente significativas no perfil de personalidade dos atletas em concreto, no factor abertura a novas experiências, na posição de médio face às restantes posições, bem como nos factores conscienciosidade, estabilidade emocional e abertura a novas experiências entre os seniores e os subs, e nos factores conscienciosidade e estabilidade emocional, entre os seniores de 1ª liga e os de 2ª liga.
