Relación del uso problemático de las redes sociales, la cibervictimización y el ciberacoso en la adolescencia

Resumen
Las redes sociales constituyen en la actualidad uno de los espacios de socialización más importantes en la vida de los adolescentes. Sin embargo, el uso problemático puede derivar en casos de ciberacoso y cibervictimización en muchos de ellos. El objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la relación entre el uso problemático de las redes sociales y el ciberacoso y la cibervictimización en una muestra de adolescentes. Participaron en la investigación un total de 1164 estudiantes de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y 1º de Bachillerato (M = 14.56; DT = 1.40). Los instrumentos aplicados fueron el Cuestionario de Uso Problemático de las Redes Sociales y el para evaluar el ciberacoso y la cibervictimización se utilizó el Screening de Acoso entre Iguale s. Los resultados mostraron correlaciones positivas y estadísticamente significativas entre el uso problemático de las redes sociales y el ciberacoso y la cibervictimización. Finalmente, los resultados obtenidos mediante análisis de regresión logística mostraron que la probabilidad de tener un uso problemático de las redes sociales era 1.25 veces más alta a medida que aumenta una unidad en cibervictimización. Estos resultados subrayan la importancia del diseño e implementación de programas de intervención dirigidos al uso responsable de las redes sociales y la prevención de situaciones de ciberacoso y cibervictimización en los adolescentes.
